Sarah Satow, DMD
Meet Dr. Satow
My name is Dr. Sarah Satow. I was born in England, the daughter of a Royal Air Force Fighter pilot. My family immigrated to Canada when I was a child. I grew up in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia and in Vancouver British Columbia. I did not attend regular high school as I was either training or traveling as a competitive alpine skier as a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. I did my undergraduate dental education in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia. I am Board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in both the United States and Canada. I received my undergraduate degree in Physiology from the University of British Columbia and my Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2001. I did a general dental practice residency and then followed that with my residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Following my residency I did a fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery limited to orthognathic surgery. I have been in private practice since 1997. I am a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and belong to a number of organizations: American Association of Dentists, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, British Columbia College of Dental Surgeons, Royal College of Dentists of Canada, American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists, Western Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical practice. I have special interests in implant dentistry, orthognathic surgery, preprosthetic surgery and geriatric care. Keeping up with continuing education is an area of particular interest, with most of my attention focused on anesthesia and dental implants.
